Salaam & Good Afternoon Parents and Students:
Thank you to Nuha's mother for asking an excellent question regarding "morning message".
Nuha's mother:
"regarding morning message, should it be done at home by the child. These days Nuha used to write herself so many messages using the words she learned in class. Is she allowed to write a message to any of her friend?"
Mrs. Hosaini:
That is an excellent question that I thought to share with everyone! Yes, mashallah, students are learning, exploring and discovering new terms, words and vocabulary everyday in my class. Students are encouraged to write and read words everyday during our lesson. Morning message is an excellent strategy to incorporate and integrate in our everyday lesson. It develops oral language, concepts, enhances understanding, encourages engagement, building knowledge, developing terminology (especially tricky words) and making meaning. Definitely, encourage writing at home, because reading and writing are intertwined with one another. If students would like to write using the words and terms we have learned in class, please encourage that. Yes, they can write to their friends at home or their teacher or their classmate.

It was great, we read all together and then students had to highlight the main "winter" words, jacket, pants, sweater, socks, etc.
- I have sent the books home to keep, but read with your child the book and ask them questions.
- Regarding science we did not have time to complete it with the afternoon class, but inshallah, on Monday!
